Discover the ruins of the famous feudal castle overlooking the charming town of La Roche-en-Ardenne. Dominating the valley, nestled between a loop of the Ourthe River and the steep slopes of the Deister Hill, the ruins of the medieval castle, built between the 11th-12th and 13th centuries, stand tall with their dark and imposing mass. During certain times of the year, various activities take place within the castle walls, such as archery, crafts, and falconry shows...
January-February-March-November-December:
- Weekdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
- Weekends and school holidays from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
July-August from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
April-May-June-September-October from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Last entry half an hour before closing.
The Castle is open every day.
Closed on 01/01, 25/12, and the carnival weekend of La Roche-en-Ardenne.
On some evenings, at sunset, except in bad weather, one can even see the ghost of Countess Berthe de La Roche roaming the castle ruins, at the very place of her death.
