Modave castle

Description

Built at the top of a rocky outcrop in the middle of a 450-hectare nature reserve, the castle, listed as Major Heritage of Wallonia, offers an audio-guided tour of more than 25 fully decorated and furnished rooms. Impressive 17th century stuccos, tapestries, tables set with services by Gien and Val St-Lambert from the 19th century. Classified gardens, picnic area, signposted walks from the castle.
